Year-end gifts and Chinese New Year gifts feel like two separate jobs. For a Singapore company ordering customised gifts, they are one job with two deadlines, and the second one arrives sooner than most teams expect. Anri Gifts has created 18,000+ customised gifts & favours with 0% late deliveries, and the orders that get tight are rarely the ones with a difficult design or a tight budget. They are the ones that start in December.
Work back from the day you need the gifts in hand, and allow at least three to four weeks from the moment artwork is signed off. Year-end and Chinese New Year both sit in peak season, so plan on longer than that baseline rather than exactly that baseline.
For year-end gifts handed out before the Christmas break, that puts artwork approval in November, not December.
For Chinese New Year, 2027 falls on Saturday 6 February, with Sunday 7 February the second gazetted day and Monday 8 February a public holiday in lieu. Most companies distribute CNY gifts in the fortnight before, so the gifts need to be in hand by roughly the third week of January 2027. Work back a peak-season lead time from there and artwork sign-off lands before the year-end break, not after it.
That is the part teams miss. The CNY sign-off date falls in the same fortnight as the year-end distribution, when most offices are running on skeleton staff and nobody is thinking about February.
If your quantity is large, or the item needs a bespoke packaging build, tell us early and we will work the real dates backwards with you rather than quoting you a standard timeline.
Treating them as one cycle solves three problems at once.
The approval window closes early. The people who sign off on artwork and budget are the same people taking leave between Christmas and New Year. If the CNY design is not approved before the break, the decision does not get made in December. It gets made in January, and by then the timeline is no longer comfortable.
Production slows around the holiday itself. The factories that make customised gifts observe the same Lunar New Year, so the production window for CNY closes before the date does. It is the one deadline in the gifting calendar that will not move to accommodate you.
Ordering both together can cost less per piece. Customised gifts are priced in volume tiers. A company ordering 300 year-end tumblers in November and 300 CNY tote bags in January pays a mid-tier rate twice. Deciding both in October and ordering together can move the combined volume into a better tier, on the same two designs, with the same two delivery dates.
Every item below is customisable with your logo and brand colours, and every one is a real product in the live Anri corporate catalogue rather than a category average.
| Tier | Typical spend per piece | Works well for | Examples from the catalogue |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volume giveaway | Around $1 to $4 | Large staff distributions, roadshows, exhibition handouts | Kraft paper ballpoint pens, kraft gift bags, canvas tote bags |
| Everyday appreciation | Around $5 to $20 | Client thank-yous, employee festive gifts, onboarding kits | Insulated mugs and tumblers, A5 notebooks, notebook and pen sets, luggage tags |
| Executive and VIP | $20 and above | Key clients, partners, senior stakeholders | Premium drinkware, golf gifts, leather card holders, travel sets |
On quantity, here is the actual shape of our catalogue rather than a rule of thumb. Of the 52 products currently live in the Anri corporate catalogue, 49 have a minimum order of 50 pieces. One, a metal gel pen, starts at 100. Two, a macaron-colour ballpoint pen and the USB neck fan, start at 200. Nothing starts below 50. So if you are gifting a team of 60, you are above the minimum on almost everything we carry.
Because pricing is tiered, the gap in total cost between 80 pieces and 120 pieces is often smaller than people assume. It is worth checking the next tier up before you cut a distribution list down.
For CNY in particular, the gifts that get used rather than stored tend to be the everyday ones: drinkware, bags and desk items a recipient reaches for in February and is still using in June. A branded item in daily use is working harder for you than one that photographs well and then goes in a drawer.
The process is built so one person can run it alongside everything else December throws at them.
If you take one thing from this page, make it this: decide both gifts in the same conversation, in October or early November, even if the CNY gifts are not ordered until later. It costs nothing to decide early, and it is the one move that stops a February deadline becoming a January problem.
